I have worked with this client for many years, most recently to update the living room, hall stairs and landing, and give the kitchen a “makeover”.
The living room was the first room to be redecorated, using shades of soft warm grey and blue with accents of brighter pinks pulling colour from the garden. The painting over the fireplace was an important element to consider in the scheme, and the feature wall colour sets this off beautifully.
We then moved on to change and update the landing bannisters and stairwell handrails, and move away from the original dated style. We used a shade of the accent colour from the living room and applied it to the walls to provide a strong background for existing artwork. The striped carpet adds detail and focus, along with an element of fun to a previously plain space. A local joiner followed the design that I had drawn up for the client to replace the landing balustrade and handrails to modernise this area.
Most recently we have completed a makeover on the existing kitchen and utility by painting the units and adding new handles. We lightening the walls with a fresh paint colour, updated the lighting, replaced the flooring and added some detail at the window with the striped fabric to lift and brighten the space.
